![]() ![]() And that’s the fundamental disconnect I see with many white Christians in their understanding of racism. not due to any one individual hiding behind a curtain and pulling levers, it’s due to the way the system is constructed to give advantages to some and disadvantages to others. It’s one person not liking another, it’s individual prejudice-while that ignores all of the ways that racism manifests itself systemically and institutionally. ![]() For many people, racism is fundamentally an interpersonal issue. That affects how they view both theology and what they believe about God, as well as social issues such as racism.
